Laurie Taylor writes his experience about the girl without a hobby in an interview for an undergraduate place at a York.
His story goes with applicant Janice who went on a mental block during her interview. And as Taylor tries to help her speak up by discussing her hobbies. Unfortunately the written hobby on Janice's application "brass rubbing" is just an imaginary hobby that her teacher gave her on filling their UCCA forms.
Janice didn't had a hobby as she tells the panels the truth and she manages to pass the interview and now manages lectures in sociology at the North East university
