Absolutely Free Cross-Stitch Patterns Interview

By Interviewer at 08/26/09 10:54

Name of your website?

Absolutely Free Cross-Stitch Patterns

Your name?

Ann L;ogan

Your Location (city, etc)

Praha

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The website provides dozens of free cross-stitch patterns. In the most cases I scanned my own pictures and then a lot of work had been done before I was satisfied with the result.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I have been creating counted cross stitch patterns for myself and others for many years, and now I have the opportunity to share it with the visitors of my site.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This site is my first one and I really enjoy building it from scratch. Any kind of comments and critical notes are welcome!

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I am happy to share my patterns with others. Most of them are based on my own painting. At my site you can find both simple and complicated patterns. There are not many places on the internet you can find quality, not just computer generated, complicated patterns for free.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I fill so great to be able to share my painting experience with others. Other people can "draw" my pictures with me - stitch by stitch, again and again.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

It appeared not so simple as I thought at the very beginning. I took my time and went slow but I did it. All the effort paid of. Now I gained the self-confidence to produce my own charts based on my own pictures!

What is your website address?
